JAKARTA: PT Aetra Air Jakarta stated in a press release made available Wednesday that one of its major pipes on Jl. Sunter Kemayoran in North Jakarta was damaged after being hit by a pillar installed as part of construction of Nusa Plaza Indah.
The damage caused water supply disruption in Pademangan Timur, Pademangan Barat and parts of Sunter Jaya. The supply was expected to return to normal after 10 p.m. Wednesday, the release said.
"We're working to repair the damage. We will cut the damaged pipe and replace it with a new one," said Rhamses Simanjuntak, Aetra's business director.
As of Dec. 10, Aetra has 377,000 customers wihin its operational area, which covers the eastern part of Jakarta.
