Floods cause Rp32.7 billion in infrastructure damage in Sukoharjo

Sukoharjo, Central Java (ANTARA News) - Floods in Sukoharjo District, Central Java, have caused infrastructure damage totaling Rp32.7 billion, according to a local official.

The inundations had damaged a number of infrastructure facilities such as roads, bridges, irrigation works, dams and houses, the head of Sukoharjo Public Works Service, Haryanto, said here on Monday.

The floods, triggered by the overflowing of Bengawan Solo River, had inundated a total of 1,887 houses, especially in Grogol, Mojolaban, Polokarto and Sukoharjo town, he said. Four bridges in Bendosari and Polokarto sub districts were also damaged by the deluges.
